The wind blew lightly through her brown slightly curled hair as she stood on the cliff over-looking the vast ocean. So many
nights she had come here to gather her thoughts and dream out in the open. The stars seem to glitter even brighter this night,
like an omen to foretell the amazing future ahead of her. Although, if Krystal had any idea what was ahead of her, she may
have never come to her secret spot that night.
Adopted at a young age and raised as a child of the Marina family, Krystal was happy with who and where she was. Yet,
almost every night when the weather permitted, and even times when it did not, she came to this cliff and lived out her fantasies
under the glimmering moon. Many an adventure had taken place here, full of palaces, princes, and sword fights. Her favorite
was the first one she ever had. It was based off of a dream she had when she turned thirteen. Now at twenty, Krystal had not
forgotten it.
When she awakes in the dream there is a person speaking to her, telling Krystal that she is the descendant of the Terrian
bloodline. From what she knew, the Terrian family was a royal lineage that ruled the kingdom of Rosalia without fault for
at least five solid centuries. Of course, this information was all gathered from the voice that spoke to her within the dream.
Outside of this wonderful world she had never heard of the Terrians, much less the kingdom of Rosalia.
As the dream progressed she would always be here, in her favorite spot and some strange sorcerer would come to her
and teleport them to her true home. Oh how Krystal wished that this dream would become a reality, then she wouldnt have to
just act it out in the serenity of this secret place. Yet, she knew deep in her heart that the chances of this ever happening
were slim to none. Who would possibly believe that a young peasant girl with no known parents would really be a princess from
a far away kingdom? It was absolutely unheard of. Even in light of this, her heart still yearned for adventure, a new life
and a new place.
After about an hour she came out of her trance-like state and sighed heavily as the morning light crept in. Another
night wasted lost in thoughts and no adventure. "Why cant there be more to life than this?" She picked a solitary flower from
the ground and smelled it, taking in a deep breath. "You are very much like me little blossom, very alone and most likely
bored. Perhaps your destiny has a better chance to change than my own." She smiled slightly and then tossed the flower over
the cliff and watched it float down to the crystal waters below. It floated there for a few seconds then was swept out towards
the sea. "How I wish that I could travel from here too. Yet, I fear that I will always be here, in this small village with
my family." With that she shook her head and started to slowly sulk off towards home.
"Well my dear, perhaps you will get your little wish!" She looked up suddenly to meet eyes with a man in a hideous
blue armor with two others, which seemed of lower rank behind him. "You will be coming with us my sweet girl. That is if I
am correct in my conclusion that you are Krystal Marina?" A shocked look flashed in her eyes and then she turned her head
trying to hide the recognition of her name.
"I do not know this Krystal of whom you speak. I believe you should go to the village or some other place and try your
luck there." She looked up again with concrete eyes that concealed any chance that she was in fact Krystal Marina. The man
stepped back for a moment then looked to the man on his right. She stood very still waiting for what was to come whether it
be her leaving with them, or her trickery triumphing. Although, deep inside her heart beat with great speed and she secretly
desired that she would fail in her attempt. For then, she may in fact get away from this little village and finally be able
to explore the vast land beyond.
